Stratford Bartlett Property specializes in commercial conversions, building both commercial and residential portfolios.
We focus on two main areas

Who are we?
By using both private and development finance we purchase and convert commercial buildings. Properties we have purchased include office blocks, a doctor’s surgery, a public house, a hotel and an engine shed. We increase the value in the assets by converting them into serviced accommodation, residential or for different types of commercial use.

We then either refinance the property, whilst paying back our private investors and/or development finance, in order to retain the property, or we sell the newly converted asset for a profit.

The approach we take depends on the strategies employed and the potential that exists for each project. This also forms the basis of any teaching and mentoring we get involved in.
Andrew Bartlett - Principal Partner
Andrew has a financial background that spans almost 30 years, including several senior banking positions.

In 2003 Andrew started building his rental portfolio with his business partner, which quickly grew to 15 properties, predominantly HMOs let to students. Andrew managed these until 2015 before he handed the management over to his son, Jonathan, who now works alongside Andrew within Stratford Bartlett Property.
It was at this time that Andrew started to consider commercial development with his business partner, Kevin Styles. On their very first commercial conversion, they won the Progressive Property Deal of the Year in 2016 for their project at Northgate Court.
